Cramped athletes at the Olympics?

After running test events at the Beijing Olympic venues, the biggest complaint was apparently that they only had squat toilets like those pictured to the left. Many Asian countries find toilets like this completely normal — where you squat, and your cheeks never touch a toilet seat. Those things on the side are for your feet, not your rear.
Well, foreign visitors from Western countries, and one would presume athletes as well, might balk at such arrangements; so China is now scrambling to install Western style toilets instead.

Thank goodness. Western athletes might not do so well if constipated or suffering from cramped hamstrings because of the unfamiliar facilities. Or maybe that was the intention?
