Teaser Tuesday

I have decided to participate in Should be Reading‘s Teaser Tuesdays.

The rules are as follows:

  • Grab your current read.
  • Let the book fall open to a random page.
  • Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
  • You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
  • Mine comes from “Dancer” by Colum McCann, which was on my desk this morning, although I’m not officially reading it – just flipping through and reliving bits of it:

At the gathering Bacon asked why dance? I retorted, Why paint? He dragged on his cigarette and said painting was the language he would give his soul if he could teach his soul to speak. Yes!

This is one of my favorite books EVVAH!

Thanks for visiting my blog! I’m glad you like my Shelfari list. That list actually precedes when I started blogging, so I haven’t really reviewed any of those books on my blog. I keep meaning to go back and read some of them again to review them.
I would love love love to see Kilimanjaro. I am totally an armchair mountain climber though. Don’t know if I could actually stomach the hike – I’d rather read about it!
