My husband stole my hunter!

Well, I suppose he didn’t really steal it, but it felt
like he did. For weeks I’ve been saying that I’d like to level a hunter after I level my warrior because I’d like to find out why there are so many useless ones around.
So, I go away for a few days to visit my Dad and sister, and I come home to find … he’s made a hunter! Not only has he made a hunter, but he tamed a lion and named it after our cat … needless to say, that’s what I was going to do! And, on top of THAT, he’s made him an engineer … you guessed it, like I was going to! Grrrr. Well, my warrior’s only 41 anyway, so it was going to be a while … I guess you snooze you lose. My only consolation is that his is a troll — I see mine more as a Blood Elf :).
Maybe that warlock sounds good still too ….

What?? Not a Blood Elf?

I’ve started leveling a warrior. I’m sick and tired of always looking for a tank, so I’ll just be one! You can’t be a Blood Elf warrior – unfortunately, so I’m trying something radical – I’m playing an Orc!! Unfortunately, there is absolutely no way to make a female orc look attractive. But my tank doesn’t realize that — she likes to stay in touch with her feminine side – hence the pig tails. It’s incredible how few female orcs there are around actually … I’m one of the few I’ve seen. I think the female orc is vastly underrated, especially now that I’ve seen their dance (snapshot in the pic). I wish World of Warcraft Census would not only list class/race statistics but gender as well. Would be interesting …

Since she’s only in her 20’s level wise her gear isn’t that brilliant yet, but I did make her this amazing silver breastplate. Hopefully no one will decide to stab me in the belly, since it doesn’t cover my mid-riff.

Anyway, she’s a lot of fun … the mage, priest, and rogue might have to be on the back-burner for a while.

I Really AM a girl in Real Life!

So, to the left is my rogue. I admit she looks pretty hot, although I’m very keen to replace those shoulderpads – they’re crummy.
The other day, my rogue was grouping with 4 other people, as you do, to complete an instance. It started as soon as they saw me.
“Wow, blood elf girls make me horny.”
At this point, I usually find that if I tell them I am a girl in real life, the others will tone it down a bit. I’m not averse to a little banter – but I have my limits, and letting them know they are not in the company of a 14 year old boy playing a female blood-elf so he can look at her booty all day – well, that usually takes care of it.
Not so the other night. When I gave them my girl-in-RL line a couple of them said:
“Yea, we all are LOL.”
“No, really, I AM a girl in RL.”
“ROFL dude, yea ok, but I think we should all rape you right now” – or words to that effect. It continued on for a while, but I decided just not to respond and play the instance and that seemed to eventually shut them up.
The thing is I reported them for this. Like I said, I’m not averse to a little banter, but when another player lets someone know that there is a line that should not be crossed, and they continue to do so, then I think they should get an official reprimand. No one likes to be harassed – even in a virtual environment.
Then, today, Blizzard posts the following comic as an honorable mention:

Now, I thought this comic was absolutely hilarious – I really did – the way armor gets changed for females is ridiculous to the extreme sometimes, but then I wonder how much of the kind of thing that I described above would happen if my rogue was dressed in slightly less skintight pants?
Although – Like I said, they DO look hot!
